Description

Zacapa XO is an ultra-premium Guatemalan rum, crafted from the first pressing of sugar cane, known as “virgin sugar cane honey.” Its distinctive aging process takes place using the Solera System at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level, in American oak barrels that previously aged robust whiskeys, delicate sherries, and fine Pedro Ximénez wines. A final aging stage in French oak barrels that previously held Cognac gives it a unique balance of complex aromas and flavors. Zacapa XO presents notes of dark chocolate, cherries, toasted nuts, marzipan, and orange peel, with a long, smooth, and sweet finish with hints of dried mango, raspberry, and ginger. It is an exquisite rum to enjoy neat or on the rocks, and it pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate and desserts.
